RETAIL ASSOCIATE & CLASS SUPPORT
at Kitchen Culture

Duties include:

  • Welcoming customers

  • Assisting customers in locating items, brainstorming, and problem solving

  • Answering customer questions about shop products and services

  • Ringing up sales; packaging breakables

  • Tagging and displaying incoming inventory

  • Stocking and tidying shelves

  • Resetting product displays

  • Assisting with shop cleaning tasks, like sweeping, dusting, washing dishes

  • Supporting teachers and students before and after classes

  • Opening and/or closing the shop

This position requires: 

  • a passion for food and cooking

  • a desire to share your knowledge with others and learn new things

  • an understanding of customer service (making all people feel welcome; being available for questions/concerns/chatting; maintaining humor and being able to respectfully disagree; giving customers space to look and think)

  • being reliable and timely 

  • being willing to take on a variety of tasks

  • being available to work at least one day each weekend

Bonus points for:

  • knowledge about cookware, cutlery, and/or dishware

  • job experience in retail, kitchens, farms, and/or related fields

  • solid, basic math skills

  • a flexible schedule

Details:

  • Part time (8-24 hours per week)

  • Seasonal, with the possibility of continued employment after the new year

  • $17.00/hour to start
